At almost 26 weeks pregnant I am well and truly ready for my second trimester to be over with. Fatigue has kicked in again although I’m not really sure if it ever went away.
Looking after two children can be challenging enough but it’s even more of a challenge when I’m constantly feeling tired and drowsy. All I want to do is sleep. But even at night I struggle to sleep as that’s when the baby is most active and I find it really hard to get comfortable. Don’t get me wrong, my favourite part of being pregnant is being able to feel my baby move, it’s an incredible feeling being able to sense him wriggling about inside of me. Kicking away, turning and doing his gymnastics.
When I was pregnant with both Krystabelle and Teddy I used to have cravings for certain foods but this isn’t something I’m experiencing this time around. I do get the odd craving but I’ve always got these odd cravings for this or that anyway.
As for newborn essentials I still haven’t bought a single thing, I’m a part of a Facebook group where everyone in the group is due in the same month and most of the women in this group have almost finished getting everything ready and some have even started packing their hospital bags.
I really need to get started on the shopping, but with Christmas only around the corner and two children to buy for it really isn’t at the top of my list at the moment. I will be attending The Baby and Toddler Show in Birmingham at the end of this month so maybe I can make a start then. I’ll definitely be on the hunt for a travel system which folds up small as I really don’t have a big enough boot. Any recommendations will be highly appreciated.
Considering how far along I am I don’t really have much of a bump although it has started to appear from out of nowhere this morning so I may have to invest in some maternity clothes. I don’t really have any from when I was pregnant with Teddy but even if I did I have gained two dress sizes since he was born.
I’m really hoping I feel much better and start getting my energy back by the time I reach my third trimester. Pregnancy is such a magical experience and I just want to enjoy it. Especially as this pregnancy is most likely going to be my last.
