I’m always thinking of ideas for different activities to do with my little ones and always searching for ideas online too.
Yesterday I decided on a water pouring station, using household items that we already had.
The pouring station was really easy to set up, I used plastic funnels, a bowl, some plastic containers, silicone droppers, a jug and some small sauce pots.
I placed them all in a plastic storage box and placed that on top of the tuff tray so that any water would fall onto the tuff tray instead of all over the floor.
The pouring station kept both Teddy and Hugo amused for over an hour, and would have probably been longer if Teddy hadn’t have got everywhere soaked.
It was great watching them both play and laughing together, Teddy loved filling up the jug with water and pouring it into the funnels.
Hugo kept splashing the water with his hands, laughing uncontrollably at himself, Teddy even took it upon himself to pour a jug of water over Hugo’s head which luckily made Hugo laugh.
I love how simple activities can bring so much joy to little ones faces.
This is definitely an activity we’ll do again soon and maybe next time we’ll even add some food colouring into the water to make it extra fun.
This will be the perfect activity in the summer to have outside in the garden on a hot day.
Have you done any similar activities? Or do you have any of your own to share?
